OsPermit system

OS-Permit is an online system that allows users to apply for and obtain operation permits for vehicles subject to travel restrictions, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Road Act and the Road Traffic Act, anytime and anywhere via the internet. Enforcement against restricted vehicles is carried out pursuant to Article 77(1) of the Road Act and Article 79 of its Enforcement Decree, with the aim of preserving road structures and preventing risks associated with vehicle operation by regulating trucks, construction machinery, and other vehicles that exceed prescribed standards.

When permits are processed in writing, the administrative procedure takes a long time (up to 14 days), which has led to issues such as illegal operation caused by deliberate avoidance of obtaining permits for restricted vehicles. In addition, the existing online service has been upgraded to an internet-based permit system, and drivable roads and structures have been registered on an electronic map to enhance user convenience.
